Ray Rice is hoping that National Football League teams will give him a second chance after his career took a blow following a high-profile domestic violence case.

Rice, who played for six seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, was suspended indefinitely for knocking his then-fiancée Janay Palmer out cold inside an elevator.

The 27-year-old running back can now sign with any team, though, after winning his appeal.

Rice knows that he will have a hard time looking for a new team because of the domestic violence case, but he is hoping that a team will give him another chance and forget about the "one bad night" that he had with his wife.

"One thing about my punishment and everything going along with anything that happened is that I've accepted it," Rice said in an interview, ESPN reported. "I went fully forward with it. I never complained, or I never did anything like that. I took full responsibility for everything that I did, and the only thing I can hope for and wish for is a second chance."

Reports also indicated that at least four teams have expressed interest in acquiring Rice, who had 660 rushing yards and 58 catches in 15 regular-season games with the Ravens last season.

The Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints are reportedly among the four interested teams, but neither team is making a strong push to sign the former Rutgers standout.

The Arizona Cardinals were also mentioned as potential destination for Rice after starting running back Andre Ellington suffered a hip injury on Sunday, but reports indicated that the team is not interested in acquiring the former Ravens running back.

Rice added in the interview that he is ready to accept if he will not be able to return to the NFL again, saying that he will just move on and live a normal life with his wife.

"We all just want our lives back," Rice said. "I realize football was one thing, but now I realize that the amount of people we've affected, the amount of families we've affected, that domestic violence is a real issue in society."
