Fantasy Football NFL Week 15 Rankings & Quarterback Predictions: Who to Sit, Who to Start
Just three weeks remain in the 2014 NFL regular season, and Fantasy Football owners are preparing their rosters.
The quarterbacks always get the most attention because of the high amount of fantasy points they can reward you with.
Here are some notable quarterbacks you should start and bench for Week 15:
Start
Ben Roethlisberger
It's basically become a golden rule for fantasy owners this season: start whoever is facing the Atlanta Falcons defense.
The Falcons pass defense ranks last in the NFL, and Ben Roethlisberger and Pittsburgh Steelers are trying to win the AFC North. So far this season, Roethlisberger has 29 touchdowns to just eight interceptions with more than 4,000 yards. You can bet Roethlisberger will have a big day against the Falcons' defense.
Drew Brees
Even though the New Orleans Saints are just 5-8, they're still tied for first place in the NFC South with the Falcons. In Week 15, Drew Brees will take on the Chicago Bears No. 28-ranked defense, and No. 30-ranked pass defense on Monday Night Football. Brees isn't having his usual dominant and elite season, but he still has 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Brees and the Saints need this win.
Andrew Luck
The Indianapolis Colts are 12-0 all-time against Houston Texans when playing at home in Indianapolis. Yes, they will be playing in Indianapolis in Week 15. Andrew Luck leads the NFL in passing yards with 4,305 and passing touchdowns with 36. Luck playing against the Texans is pretty much a guaranteed three touchdowns a game for fantasy owners, just as we saw him do in Week 6, in Houston.
Bench
Colin Kaepernick
Kaepernick is having a disappointing season for the San Francisco 49ers with 16 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Not terrible numbers, but Kaepernick always turns into "Kaeper-pick" when he faces the Seattle Seahawks. Two weeks ago he threw two interceptions against Richard Sherman at home in a 19-3 defeat. Now, Kaepernick and the 49ers have to travel to Seattle to face their rivals.
Andy Dalton
The Cincinnati Bengals still lead the AFC North at 8-4-1, but quarterback Andy Dalton isn't playing like he's capable of. After quietly throwing 33 touchdowns last season, Dalton has just 15 this year. In Week 15, Dalton and the Bengals will take on their interstate rival Cleveland Browns. Johnny Manziel will get most of the attention, but the Browns secondary, led by cornerback Joe Haden, rank eighth in yards allowed and they lead the NFL in interceptions.
Derek Carr
Derek Carr has played very well this season, for a rookie quarterback with limited weapons. Last week, he stunned 49ers fans with a three touchdown performance. Unfortunately, the Oakland Raiders have to play the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, where it gets louder than any other stadium in the league. The Chiefs have the No. 2 pass defense in the league, only one spot behind the Seahawks. Carr may be in for a tough day in Kansas City.
