Previously on "La Malquerida," Esteban finally got Acacia to admit her feelings for him. Even though Esteban's wife is going through a difficult time after having lost her child, he has managed to get closer to Acacia. (Catch up on episodes 81-85 here.)

Here's what will happen in episodes 86-90.

Episode 86:

Acacia tells her mother that she humiliated Esteban and she can't forgive her for that. Acacia is so upset that she asks Cristina if being sarcastic and mean in front of everyone is the way she treated her father. Cristina slaps her.

Acacia has come to her senses about her relationship with Esteban. She tells him that their love is forbidden. Esteban says it won't be after he and Acacia's mother get a divorce.

Hector gets closer to Cristina, but he also asks her what she plans to do about Esteban.

Episode 87:

Manuel calls German a coward for not defending his son.

Acacia receives a bouquet of red roses, and when Cristina sees it, she asks who the flowers are from. Acacia tries to hide the card.

Episode 88:

Hector tells Ulises that he loves Cristina and he's not going to worry about hiding it anymore. His plan is to be with her.

Acacia asks Esteban if he is going to live in Mexico, and he says that it depends on her.

Episode 89:

Cristina tries to help Acacia. She tells Acacia that if something is not going well, she would like to know. Acacia tells her not to worry about it.

Esteban tells Acacia that she should take a chance on him because she won't regret it.

Episode 90:

Esteban asks Cristina for a divorce but also tells her that he doesn't want to end up on bad terms with her. He wants the two to remain friends.

Esteban tells Acacia that he's certain that the two are destined to be together.
