The Patriots showed their dominance last night and the Green Bay Packers were outcoached. How will these performances affect the Madden NFL 15 player ratings? We'll discuss that and much more in today's update.

The New England Patriots are 11-3 and they have already clinched the AFC East. Tom Brady and Co. can relax knowing that they are in the playoffs. But, they might want to keep winning to get homefield advantage in the AFC. Right next to them is the 11-3 Denver Broncos and the 10-4 Colts as well. The only division in the AFC that is still up for grabs is the AFC North, where all four teams are still realistically in it.

Brady is rated awfully low for an 11-3 quarterback. The Madden rating czars must think he is old or something. They rate him as a 97, but he sure seems to be a 98 or 99 at this point of the season. Likely he will stay at 97 though, unless he goes out and throws six touchdowns against the Jets this weekend, which is very possible.

The Denver Broncos are quietly leading the AFC West too. Peyton Manning is a 98 overall rated quarterback. He deserves this 98. He actually didn't have a very good game against the Bills ( no touchdowns, two touchdowns, two interceptions). Sunday he had a better game, but only threw the ball 20 times (completed 14) and only threw one touchdown. The Broncos are finding ways to win games by running the ball and playing defense.

The Green Bay Packers struggled against the Bills too. Aaron Rodgers couldn't connect with his receivers and threw the most incompletions in his NFL career (he was 17-42 for only 158 yards and no touchdowns). Rodgers was a 99 overall rated quarterback, but could very well be downgraded Friday to a 98.
