As a new year and new month begins, Netflix updates its online streaming library. This coming January will see the addition of a new movies and television series, including some popular favorites like "Friends" and "Mean Girls." Coming in the New Year there will also be new Netflix series as well as the return of other popular shows on the site.

Despite the fact that Netflix cut scores of titles from its streaming library, including classic movies and a few popular television shows, the online streaming service is remedying the problem by adding some new movie and TV titles.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, these are titles being added throughout January:

The coming year will also see the return of some Netflix series as well as the addition of new ones.

In January, the second season of "The Fall" will return on Jan. 16 and a new animated children's show will be premiered by Netflix on the same date: "The Adventures of Puss in Boots."

IndieWire also reports that other new series will be added to Netflix's growing list of television shows. These include "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" with "The Office's" Ellie Kemper (March 2015); "Bloodline" with Kyle Chandler from "Friday Night Lights" and Linda Cardellini (March 2015); "Daredevil" played by Charlie Cox (sometime in 2015); "Grace and Frankie" with the fantastic Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda.

Other shows will also be aired sometime in 2015. Meanwhile, popular shows like "House of Cards" and "Orange Is the New Black" will also be returning in Feb. 27 and the summer, respectively.
