Telemundo 'La Voz Kids' 2015: Pedro Fernandez Talks Leaving 'Hasta El Fin Del Mundo' to Become Judge on New Show
After Pedro Fernandez's controversial move to leave Televisa novela "Hasta el Fin Del Mundo," the singer will be moving to rival station Telemundo.
According to People En Español, the actor has confirmed that he will be a judge on "La Voz Kids."
"I am very happy," he said. "I am very excited about this project. I was attracted to the show because of the kids. I hope we find big surprises, lots of talent and that special shine that some people have for music."
Daddy Yankee and Natalia Jimenez will be the other judges on the show. Fernandez said that he doesn't personally know either of them, but he said that he does know that both are very talented. Fernandez adds that the two judges each have their own distinct style.
He also admits that he won't find it easy to critique the children.
"It's not easy," he said. "Sometimes it's not easy to transmit to the children what one thinks is most convenient."
Fernandez will also sing on the show, and he hopes his long music career will be helpful to the children on his team.
People reports that Fernandez began singing when he was 6. The singer also said that in the music industry there is now more children than when he started.
Fernandez was replaced by David Zepeda on "Hasta El Fin Del Mundo," and it was rumored that he left because his wife and daughters were upset with his romantic scenes with former co-star Marjorie de Sousa.
The singer has repeatedly denied these rumors and said that he had to leave because of his health.
"Plain and simple, cycles close and other cycles open," he said. "These are cycles that I hope to start with much success and on the right foot."
So far he has not been invited by Telemundo to take part in a telenovela, and he also doesn't know if that's something that will ever happen.
