ABC 'The Bachelorette' Cast News 2015: Former 'The Bachelor' Contestant Emily Maynard Is Pregnant
Former "The Bachelorette" star Emily Maynard is pregnant.
Us Weekly reports that Maynard said she and husband Tyler Johnson are "super excited" about their upcoming bundle of joy.
Maynard starred in Season 8 of "The Bachelorette." She has one other daughter she raised as a single mother after her late fiancé Ricky Hendrick died in a plane crash in 2004.
The reaity star's 9-year-old daughter Ricki is getting news of becoming a big sister just six months after her mother married Johnson.
"It was so sweet," Maynard said at the time of her engagement in January 2014. "He proposed to me at home and gave both Ricki and me rings."
According to a source, the wedding ceremony "was romantic and beautiful."
Maynard previously looked for love with Brad Womack on Season 15 of "The Bachelor," ABC News reported. After failing with the relationship with Brad, she starred in "The Bachelorette" where she accepted an engagement ring from Jef Holm in 2012. The couple called it quits just a year later.
Maynard then announced her engagement to Johnson at the start of last year, and they married in June.
"God brought us together. He's given me such peace about everything," the former reality TV star who is now going by Emily Johnso said at the time. "I'm so grateful I met him."
The 28-year-old was born in Morgantown, West Virginia, according to her bio on Hollywood Life. Her late high school sweetheart, who is the father of her first child, was a NASCAR driver, and they were engaged for six months before his death. Maynard found out she was pregnant soon after his death and gave birth to her daughter Josephine Riddick "Ricki" Hendrick in the summer of 2005.
During her time as a single mother, Maynard lived with her daughter in Charlotte, North Carolina and frequently volunteered at the Hendrick Marrow program.
