Andi Dorfman, "The Bachelorette" Season 10 star, and fiancé Josh Murray called off their engagement this week. Their split comes just days after the two appeared happy and cozy on the live premiere episode of "The Bachelor."

Though the couple has yet to reveal the specific reason for their split, they did release a statement obtained by Us Weekly, which reads, "After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it's best for both of us to go our separate ways. We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what's best for both of us individually. We will continue to be good friends and have nothing but great things to say about each other and wish each other the best."

Prior to their split, Dorfman and Murray appeared to be on good terms. They posted many Instagram photos of each other during their six-month whirlwind romance and were quite vocal about the love they shared. The two also put up a united front at the premiere "The Bachelor" episode, starring Dorfman's "The Bachelorette" runner-up, Chris Soules.

At the live taping event, Murray and Doorman revealed to E! News they had not planned a wedding because they were still taking the time out to have "fun" and settle down following their on-screen romance on "The Bachelorette."

Then a few days later, the seemingly happy couple shocked the world with the announcement of their breakup.

Since the breakup, many people involved in the couple's lives have weighed in on the surprise split.

A source from E! News claims Soules was surprised by the breakup and thought "they were gonna last."

Meanwhile, Nick Viall–Dorfman's other love interest on the show who later revealed the two made love off-camera–revealed he too was surprised by the breakup but has no plans to rekindle his romance with Dorfman.

"I was surprised. I feel for them. Heartbreak is tough for anyone, whether you're engaged or not. It stinks," Viall told E! News.

One person who is close to the couple and was not surprised by the split is Murray's mother, Lauren Goodhart Murray, Us Weekly reports.

Lauren recently addressed her son's breakup on her Facebook page and revealed she felt "happy they figured this out before getting married & having kids." Lauren also described the split as a "wise decision."

Surprisingly enough, Dorfman still has "The Future Mrs. Murray" posted on her Instagram account and has not deleted the photos of herself and her former fiancé posted onto her timeline.

Josh has also kept the photos of himself and Dorfman on his Instagram timeline. However, he was caught posting and then deleting an emotional post, which many believe is about the recent split.
