"Wrecking Ball" star Miley Cyrus has long ago distanced herself from the "good girl" image of her "Hannah Montana" years, and she is underlining that move by going full frontal for the first time in the new issue of V magazine.

The New York Daily News reported V magazine will publish a series of X-rated Polaroids, which the newspaper said were taken behind the scenes of Cyrus' recent "Bangerz" world tour. One photo shows the singer completely naked, standing up in a bathtub, with bubbles "covering her private parts ... (and) barely covering her breasts," as reported by USA Today.

Cheyne Thomas, a close friend of the 22-year-old singer, took "her most intimate Polaroids" during travels from Los Angeles to Helsinki to Buenos Aires, Us Weekly reports. Not all of them show Cyrus in the nude; in some, she sports underwear or wears pasties.

The pals shared the pics with V, which arranged them as a collage of polaroids in print and also offers fans to buy a poster version of Cyrus in the nude on its website.

The star spread the word about the pictures on Instagram.

"Weez a bunch of happy hippies ova hurrrr," Cyrus wrote in the caption.

One of the pictures posted shows her seductively stretching on a floor in black bra and panties, and the singer promised in one caption that the magazine will offer "ol school pull out postahhh photography."

The Cyrus issue of V magazine is set to hit the shelves on Jan. 15.

Since its 1999 launch, the American fashion magazine has featured some big names on its cover: Singers Lady Gaga and Madonna, soccer star David Beckham and actors Cameron Diaz and Orlando Bloom have all made appearances.

Last fall, Cyrus herself was on V's cover, sporting what the Huffington Post dubbed "the world's least wearable bathing suit."
