"Married at First Sight: The First Year" premiered on Jan. 13, and the first episode gave a look at where the couples from "Married at First Sight" have ended up.

Episode 2, which airs on Jan. 20, will delve deeper into these relationships.

"Cortney finally reveals to Jason that she's losing her job," according to FYI's description. "Jamie plans a surprise party for Doug's birthday. Monet is set up on a blind date."

The second episode is titled "Have Your Cake and Eat it Too."

The first episode of the show revealed both Jamie and Doug both want children, but they are on different pages, according to International Business Times.

Jamie wants babies right away, and Doug wants to wait until the future.

"Things are so great now. Let's just go have babies. Why wait any longer?" Jamie said.

For Doug, there have been many changes in his life recently. From moving out of his parents job to starting a new job, Doug is adjusting to different things. Doug's mom is also against the idea of the two of them having children so soon.

"Jamie has baby fever, and I have no doubt that she'd be a phenomenal mother," Doug's mom said, IBT reports. "But I just want them to get to know each other a little bit better."

As for Cortney and Jason, the first episode showed the couple has been through a lot since "Married at First Sight" took place.

Jason hadn't dealt with his mother's death, and Cortney didn't tell her husband she was going to be fired. Meanwhile, Jason is spending a lot of time in the fire academy, which he believes may cause problems with his marriage.

The two celebrated their six-month anniversary late, where they enjoyed a candlelight dinner and talked about all the things they had been through.

"You couldn't write a better love story than that," Jason said.

Episode 2 will air on Tuesday on FYI at 9 p.m. ET.
