What an incredible weekend it was in the NFL.

In one of the craziest games ever played, the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship, 28-22. The Packers dominated the first quarter with timely turnovers taking a quick 13-0 lead. A 13-0 advantage is good, but a lot of missed opportunities cost the Packers the game. Despite dominating early with turnovers and extremely good field position, the Packers could only get one touchdown the entire game.

This year's MVP favorite Aaron Rodgers had a miserable day with just 178 passing yards and two interceptions.

The second half saw the Seahawks turn things around dramatically. In the third quarter, head coach Pete Carroll stunned everyone with a fake field goal attempt from the 19-yard line. Jon Tyler threw the touchdown to offensive tackle Garry Gilliam. Trailing just 16-7 heading into the fourth quarter, the Seahawks still had ways to go.

A 24-yard Marshawn Lynch run combined with a one-yard run from Russell Wilson gave the Seahawks their first lead of the game, 20-19. Next, the Seahawks decided to go for two, and they succeeded when Wilson threw up a cross field lob pass to Luke Wilson.

The only great player for the Packers all game long was kicker Mason Crosby, who made all five of his field goal attempts. Crosby made a clutch field with 48 seconds remaining to tie the game, 22-22, and send it to overtime.

The Seahawks won the overtime coin toss and marched right down the field. Despite playing one of the worst games of his career, Wilson showed poise in the pocket and extreme clutch abilities when it mattered most. In overtime, the Seahawks drove 87 yards in what ended in a 35-yard pass to Jermaine Kearse in the end zone.

Seahawks win 28-22.

For the Packers, this is one of the most disappointing losses in franchise history. The Packers had a 16-point lead, forced five turnovers, made all five field goal attempts, and they still lost the game. Rodgers played poorly compared to how we've seen him perform in the past.

In the AFC, the drama was much less filled.

The New England Patriots took care of business defeating the Indianapolis Colts, 45-7. Early in the game, the Colts kept things close after intercepting quarterback Tom Brady in the red zone in an attempted pass to Robert Gronkowski.

After a 14-7 second quarter lead, things began to change drastically. Running back LeGarrette Blount took over the game with 148 yards and three rushing touchdowns. Similar to the Seahawks and Lynch, the Patriots relied a lot on their run game to win. The Patriots outscored the Colts in the second half 28-0 eventually winning the game, 45-7.

For the Colts, a loss at this stage is never rewarding, but it's not nearly as disappointing as the Packers defeat. The Colts have improved every year over the last three seasons making it to the wild card round, the divisional round and this year to the conference championship.

It doesn't come as a big surprise that the Patriots and Seahawks are both here, as they are both No. 1 seeds in their respective conference. This will be the second consecutive season we see two No. 1 seeds play in the Super Bowl.

The Patriots and Seahawks will play each other in the 2015 Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday, Feb. 1, at 6:30 pm. EST on NBC.
