In Pepo's comic strips, Yayita was Condorito's faithful girlfriend who attracted the attention of many men; in real life, Yayita is a woman accused of using her beauty to steal from men.

Police have arrested Yayita, whose real name is Johanna Andrea Torres, for her 11 years of crimes, according to CNN.

Yayita, 28, did not act alone, and Facebook first gave Bogota police some clues about the woman dubbed "the beautiful thief." Investigators had been looking into Yayita for the past six months, ending with her arrest earlier this week.

General Humberto Guatibonza of the Bogota Police Department said all of her crimes were committed in similar ways.

"She is responsible for a great number of thefts, where she used her physical beauty" Guatibonza said.

This is not the first time Yayita has been arrested. In 2012, she was also arrested for theft, but it did not stop her from a life of crime.

"[She spent the money she stole] on herself," Guatibonza said. "She has a great number of cosmetic surgeries ... on clothes and on parties."

The CNN video features footage of Yayita speaking to a man outside of an apartment complex. The two walk away together, so it's not clear what happens next.

Yayita reportedly planned to travel to Germany in February with falsified documents. The Colombian woman pled not guilty at her first hearing, but if found guilty, she could face up to 10 years in jail.

On Twitter, Guatibonza shared an image of Yayita, which detailed more about the woman.

It said that in jail, she was named queen, and she had two orders out for her arrest. The Colombian woman was born in Bogota.

She is also accused of emptying three Subo apartments in 20 minutes.

The accompanying picture does not show off Yayita's face, as she is looking down. But plenty of her social media images have been used, such as in an article by Cronica, an Argentine publication.
