Miss Universe Beauty Pageant Date, Time & Live Stream: Watch William Levy, Prince Royce & the Woman who Will Take the $300K Crown
One woman will be crowned Miss Universe on Sunday night.
The competition will begin at 8 p.m. ET, and it will air on NBC and Telemundo. For those who can't make it to a TV, the show will be available to stream online on NBC.com. There will also be a Spanish telecast on Telemundo for the event that is taking place in Doral, Florida.
The NBC show will be hosted by Natalie Morales, Jenni Mai and Thomas Roberts, according to the Miss Universe website.
Judges for the pageant include William Levy, Rob Dyrdek, Nina Garcia, Manny Pacquiao, Louise Roe, Lisa Vanderpump, Kristin Cavallari, Giancarlo Cruz-Michael Stanton, Emilio Estefan and Desean Jackson.
Nick Jonas and Prince Royce will provide the musical entertainment for the night.
The crown for the 2014 Miss Universe winner was recently revealed. The design is inspired by New York City.
"The crown symbolizes and expresses the beauty, stability, confidence and power of women around the world," according to the Miss Universe site.
The crown has 198 dark blue sapphire stones, 311 small diamonds and an 18-karat white gold strip. The crown is valued at $300,000.
The 2013 Miss Universe crown went to Venezuelan Gabriela Isler, and the current Miss Venezuela, Migbelis Castellanos, has spoken out about feeling pressure.
"On top of Gabriela Isler, we have a political situation in my country that affects all of us," she said to La Nación. "There are many Venezuelans who are rooted in [the Miami suburb of] Doral. The press is very aware of me. Every time, there's more followers on Instagram. It's a lot of things."
Castellanos said she believed some of her biggest competitors were Miss Panama, Miss Puerto Rico and Miss Dominican Republic.
According to TV y Novelas, the Dominican Republic's Kimberly Castillo had a bit of a wardrobe issue.
When she went to put on her controversial typical dress outfit, which has an image of the Virgin of Highest Grace on it, the crown was damaged. The crown originally had 11 rays, but when she went to put the headpiece on, the rays were bent backward. The images shared of the beauty queen by TV y Novelas prove she is missing rays, with the absence of the one in the center, which had a cross on it, being the most notable.
Miss Canada, Miss Argentina and Miss India are some of the other contestants who have gotten attention for their costumes.
Who do you think will take the crown on Sunday night?
