Latina Stars to Perform at NBA All-Star Game 2015: 'Beautiful' Singer Christina Aguilera and 'Love Me Harder' Performer Ariana Grande Will Take the Court
The NBA announced Tuesday that Christina Aguilera will perform at its 2015 All-Star Game in Madison Square Garden on Feb. 15.
The "Beautiful" singer will perform a "New York-themed medley" ahead of the 64th annual game during player introductions, according to ESPN. The Rockettes will be a part of Aguilera's performance.
Aguilera will return to NBC's "The Voice" as a mentor next month, after taking a break for two seasons.
Ariana Grande is also performing at the 2015 NBA All-Star Game game, according to HNGN. The "Problem" singer will headline the halftime show singing a compilation of her biggest hits.
Grande has a busy performance schedule ahead of her. She will perform for at the 57th Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 8 where she has her first two nominations. She is also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album for "My Everything" and for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Bang Bang" with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj. Big Sean's girlfriend will also begin her Honeymoon Tour in Independence, Missouri on Feb. 25.
NBA announced its game-starters Thursday with The Warriors' Stephen Curry winning the vote to start ahead of The Cavaliers' LeBron James.
"This means a lot; it's something that I don't take for granted," Curry said in a statement. "To have support of fans not only in the Bay Area but across the nation and across the world, supporting not only myself but our team, it means a lot. I want to represent the Warriors the best way I know how, every single game, and will do that proudly in New York thanks to the fans and their votes," he added. "Something that's definitely a dream come true, and to be two times in a row, I'm proud of that."
The 64th NBA All-Star Game will air live on TNT at 8 p.m.
