The time has come for the NFL's champion to be decided. It is also the best time to get a TV to watch the Big Game, according to research obtained by CNN from the Consumer Electronics Association.

Retailers know that consumers want to have the best viewing experience for the Super Bowl and that is why they are knocking down prices on their TVs.

"The week leading up to the Super Bowl is second best time to buy, after Black Friday," Ben Arnold, television analyst at NPD Group said. "If you're looking for a TV in the near term, this week gives you a pretty good shot at finding the best pricing for a while."

Amazon has a deal on most of its 55-inch-and-up TVs, according to the website.

Saving $902 on a name brand TV could lure many shoppers to the Internet, but most of Amazon's TVs will not make it to your home by this Sunday.

Best Buy is offering free in-store pickup on their TVs and up to 25 percent off on select HDTVs.

Here is one example:

The Samsung 55-inch LED, Smart and 4K Curved TV can be had for $1,499.99 at Best Buy. If you find the price lower anywhere else, Best Buy will match it.

Walmart is getting in the game too. A Vizio 50-inch 4K Ultra HDTV can be had for $748.00. This is a great sized TV for a great price. It would normally sell for $999.99.

Target has a non-4K Vizio TV for just $599.99. This deal also includes a $20 Target gift card. The 55-inch TV is also a Smart TV that includes apps like Netflix and Hulu.
