Trey Songz, Chris Brown & Tyga 'Between the Sheets' Tour: 'New Flame' Singer Apologizes for Postponing 2015 Concerts, Promises to Finish Community Service
Chris Brown’s recent legal troubles have forced him to postpone his latest tour, the Between the Sheets Tour.
Brown, instead of dazzling fans with his music, will have to finish his community service since he violated his probation.
According to USA Today, Brown postponed the Between the Sheets Tour to finish his court-mandated community service. The tour was set to begin on Tuesday, Jan. 27 in Hampton, Virginia.
The Hampton Coliseum, the venue where the tour was to open, also announced the postponement via Twitter.
However, neither the Hampton Coliseum nor Live Nation, the tour’s organizer, provided new dates for the shows. Meanwhile, Brown’s show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn is still scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 29 on Live Nation's website.
In an Instagram post obtained by AllHipHop.com, Brown explained to fans what happened. The post has since been taken down.
“I would first like to apologize to all the fans and people who have been supporters of me and all the music over the years. The beginning of the BTS tour has been moved to later dates now,” Brown wrote. “The judge would not sign off on my travel to do the tour until I finish these last 100 hours of community service.”
Brown added he is working hard to finish the hours but is still saddened by the news.
“This is the most disappointing news I’ve gotten in a while. Everything happens for a reason so I wanted to personally inform my fans. The show must go on. Out of 1000 hours I only have 100 left,” he explained.
According to Brown, the shows have not been cancelled but just postponed.
Tyga and Trey Songz, who were to perform with Brown in Virginia, also tweeted about the postponement.
The Los Angeles Times reported last week that Brown violated his probation when he did a show in San Jose; he was not allowed to leave Los Angeles county. He also has to complete 200 hours of community service.
