'The Originals' Season 2 Episode 12 Spoilers: Will Klaus Stop Hayley From Revealing all of her Secrets to Jackson in 'Sanctuary?' [Watch]
Things will get intense as Jackson and Hayley gear up for their big wedding day in the next all-new episode of "The Originals."
In Monday's new episode, which is entitled "Sanctuary," Hayley and Jackson will prepare for a truth-telling unification ritual that must take place before they are married.
The couple decided to get married in order to fulfill an alpha-bonding ritual between their packs, which will then give the wolves control over when and how they transform between being humans and animals. However, before that can happen, they have to get through a ritual that will force them to reveal all their secrets. On top of that, Klaus will do all in his power to assure that Hayley doesn't reveal too much to her soon-to-be husband.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, actor Nathan Parsons opened up about his character, Jackson, and an upcoming showdown that he will have with Klaus, along with his future with Hayley.
When asked to preview the ritual, Parson teased that Jackson's knowledge about his lineage is not going to be "all pretty."
"He'll have to be upfront with that, and confront that with Hayley," he said. "Hopefully she'll take that well."
He went on to hint that Hayley won't be happy when she hears about some of Jackson's secrets about her family.
"Hayley's not going to be thrilled when she hears about it. There's a lot of things -- when you know so much about someone, and you care about them, it's hard to keep secrets that may hurt them. Jackson's going to be forced to come up with that, and hope it lands OK."
Although most of the ritual will take place off-camera, Parsons revealed that viewers will get to see the events leading up the ritual and, subsequently, its impact.
Meanwhile, Klaus will go on the hunt to find them in order to make sure some of Hayley's secrets are kept quiet. That's when things will get "physical" between the hybrid and Jackson.
"It's a pretty brutal fight," Parsons previewed. "I'm very excited for people to see this battle looming between Klaus and Jackson. We're going to see a truer side of both characters in that, so I'm looking forward to it."
In the meantime, there will be tension among the pack as Jackson and Hayley prep for the ritual, says Parsons.
"Hayley's a hybrid, she's part vampire. So that tension is going to exist. We hope it works out and the wolves can go back in the Quarter, and the vampires [are still] over there. There's definitely some tension and some hesitancy on the wolves' side. But I think all in all, the wolves realize [this marriage] is their only chance."
The CW released a sneak peek video of next week's episode that shows Klaus on his mission to find Hayley so that she can keep his secret hidden from the wolves.
In another teaser video, Davina and Kol are seen working feverishly to kill Klaus.
According to Dread Central, the synopsis reads as follows:
"After a series of strange encounters, Rebekah (guest star Maisie Richardson-Sellers) becomes intrigued by a mysterious girl who has recently arrived to the insane asylum. At the bayou, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) struggles with coming clean to Jackson (guest star Nathan Parsons) about the secrets she's keeping and is surprised when he shares his own secret involving Hayley's parents. Meanwhile, after learning the details of a particular marriage ritual that Hayley and Jackson must complete, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) heads to the bayou to put an end to it, but not before running into Jackson's grandmother Mary (guest star Debra Mooney). Elsewhere, Vincent (guest star Yusuf Gatewood) remains determined to uncover the secret he knows Klaus is hiding and sets his eyes on Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) for answers. Lastly, when Davina (Danielle Campbell) discovers that Josh (guest star Steven Kruger) and Marcel are in danger, she enlists the help of Kaleb (guest star Daniel Sharman) and Aiden (guest star Colin Woodell) to rescue them."
Season 2, Episode 12 of "The Originals," titled "Sanctuary," will premiere Monday, Feb. 2 on the CW.
