Contrary to speculations, the kiss shared by Miley Cyrus and Benji Madden does not mean anything - at least nothing romantic that is. While Miley and Benji will certainly make a cute couple, a source tells E! News that they are not a couple and will probably never be.

Miley and Benjie spent the Halloween together, and was seen getting extra cozy with each other - spending the night making out. The report sparked rumors that Miley is so over ex- Liam Hemsworth, and is now seeing the Good Charlotte band member.

However, the source notes that all the rumors are not true. Specifically, the insider described Miley and Benji's relationship as "not a boyfriend girlfriend kind of thing" and the controversial young artist and the guitarist's relationship is more of just "party pals". They have a lot of common friends and love to hang out together with their friends, it's just that.

The source also said that even though the kiss they shared will say otherwise, Miley "isn't into him like that."

Notably, with such a tight schedule - promoting her album and practicing for her performances at the 2013 MTV EMAs and 2013 AMAs - entering into a new relationship now doesn't seem to be the right time.

Talking about love in the December issue of Cosmopolitan, Miley shared: "This is the best time of my life...I'm not going to look back on it and be like, 'I wish I hadn't been dwelling over a breakup,' you know? Because that's not what God wants my life to be about right now."

Miley will be joined by Katy Perry and One Direction as performers at the MTV EMAs. According to Reuters, Perry will perform her new song "Unconditionally" from her new album "Prism" in the MTV EMAs.

The 2013 MTV European Music Awards will air live from Amsterdam across MTV's global network of more than 60 channels across the world. U.S. viewers can catch Miely Cyrus at the MTV EMAs n Sunday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. EST and PST.
