Demi Lovato, 22, surprised boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama with a party for his 35th birthday at Palms Thai restaurant in Los Angeles on Thursday night, reports Us Weekly.

Party guests included former "That '70s Show" cast members Ashton Kutcher, 36, and his fiancée Mila Kunis, 31.

An eyewitness at the restaurant told Us Weekly, "They were definitely celebrating and enjoying themselves. Wilmer got there later, giving his friends a chance to get there first. He was surprised!"

Video has surfaced on YouTube from the birthday bash showing party guests singing "Happy Birthday" and Lovato singing "Too Close."

The friends shared a family-style Thai dinner, drinks and following dinner Lovato presented the birthday boy with a personalized cake.

Valderrama blew out the candles and Kutcher led the party guests in singing "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow." Once the festivities ended, Valderrama, Lovato and friends boarded an airplane. He posted a picture on Instagram and wrote, "I want to thank my sweet angel @ddlovato & my brother 4life @tadao310.. For an awesome special birthday!! #Blessed"


Valderrama's birthday celebration did not end there. The couple's next stop was the Saturday UFC fight between Nick Diaz and Anderson Silva in Las Vegas, Nevada where all three judges scored the fight in Silva's favor.

Lovato shared a collage of pictures of her with Valderrama over the years on Instagram, writing: "Here's to many more incredible years together. Happy Birthday my love.... I love you."

In an interview for the December issue of Fitness magazine, Lovato revealed how supportive Valderrama has been in her life: "I was obsessing over food and terrified of it at the same time. Wilmer noticed and called me out on it, which was a relief."

The former Disney star turned pop star spent three months in treatment for bulimia, self-harming and drug abuse in late 2010.

The relationship between Lovato and Valderrama was first realized in 2010 but the couple split later that year. The pair has dated seriously since 2011, and were very private about their relationship until November 2014 when Lovato publicly declared her love for him.
