Grand Theft Auto 5 Online Gameplay: Rockstar Finally Gives $500,000 Stimulus Package to GTA 5 Gamers
The stimulus package is finally here.
Yesterday, Rockstar Games finally began giving gamers the $500,000 stimulus package it announced on Oct. 14 as an apology for problems and glitches that plagued the online version of Grand Theft Auto V during its debut.
"Attention all Grand Theft Auto Online players, we have begun the Stimulus Package direct deposit into each of your in-game bank accounts," Rockstar said in a blog post. "This GTA$500,000 deposit applies to all GTA Online players in the month of October 2013."
Only gamers that played Grand Theft Auto Online in October, the month when cloud server errors, saving problems and other issues were strongest, will be rewarded. The GTA$ will come in two deposits of $250,000. Everyone should have their money by tomorrow.
"We expect that it will take up to 2 full days for the Stimulus Package to be fully delivered to the entire player base from October 2013, so please be patient if you do not see it appearing in your in-game bank account just yet," Rockstar said. "We will update this post on Friday when we expect all the GTA$ Stimulus Package deposits to have been completed."
Recently, Rockstar announced new online content, which it hopes to release soon.
"On that note, stay tuned for more details on the Beach Bum update soon along with upcoming Social Club event announcements and more here at the Newswire," Rockstar said.
The Beach Bum DLC pack will reportedly be the first update released. Beach-themed upgrades like cars, tattoos, hairstyles and clothing will be available. The pack also includes new online jobs, including Deathmatch, Parachute, Gang Attack, Race and Last Team Standing missions. The new jobs will be based around Los Santos' coastal resorts.
Rockstar will also release the first part of the Content Creator app. This will give players the ability to create, share and rate their own Deathmatch and Race challenges. The best challenges will be featured on Rockstar's Newswire page with a "Rockstar Verified" stamp.
In addition, Rockstar's will begin its a new series, Grand Theft Auto Online Social Club Event, which will take place on weekends.
