According to reports, Yankee player Alex Rodriguez and girlfriend Torrie Wilson broke up after dating for three years.

Page Six reports the baseball player and former WWE Diva may have broken up because A-Rod was not able to commit and because Cynthia Scurtis, Rodriguez's ex-wife with whom he has two daughters, is still a major part of his life. Rodriguez and Scurtis divorced in 2008.

"Cynthia continues to play a large role in Alex's personal life and business affairs, even though she recently got engaged to someone else," a source said.

Wilson and A-Rod started dating in 2011. The Yankee organization took a liking to the super fit model.

"Torrie is a lovely girl. The last thing Alex needs now is to be single, dating and distracted by women," a source from Yankee said.

Reports say A-Rod has been focusing on baseball since the split, and Wilson remains in Los Angeles working on her acting career.

The Yankee star was suspended from the MLB last season for being involved in Biogenesis, which supplied performance-enhancing drugs to players. He also spent most of the 2013 season recovering from a hip injury.

Rodriguez is returning to spring training later this month.

"I think it's only fair to see where he's at, physically," Joe Girardi, Yankees' general manager, told The New York Post last week. "We have to take our time and not make an evaluation too early in spring training, because he hasn't played a lot in the last year and a half."

The Yankees are welcoming Rodriguez back with open arms, according to Yahoo! Sports.

"I don't think Rodriguez is going to be a distraction," Yankees reliever Dellin Betances said. "For us, we welcome him with open arms. We just want everybody to contribute, and if everybody can contribute and get us back to the playoffs, that's what matters to us this year."

Rodriguez is expected to be under the microscope upon his return.
