As police officials continue to investigate what caused Bobbi Kristina Brown's nearly fatal drowning, they've allegedly turned their attention to her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, as a possible suspect in the case, CNN reports.

According to CNN, Bobbi Kristina Brown, who remains in a medically induced coma, has some questionable injuries on her body that have raised concern from her family and authorities.

Investigators are now supposedly targeting Gordon to find out if he had anything to do with those injuries and the drowning of Brown.

TMZ reports that Max Lomas, the friend who found Brown drowning in a bathtub, alleges Gordon cleaned up the house and removed blood stains prior to the ambulance arriving to revive Brown.

Although it has not been confirmed whether Brown's drowning was a result of Gordon's foul play, TMZ suggests that there is a possibility, due to Gordon and Brown's previous history of violence and domestic abuse throughout their relationship.

TMZ sources claim that both Lomas and Gordon have "lawyered up" to defend themselves.

News of foul play in the investigation of Brown's drowning comes on the heels of her father, Bobby Brown, claiming that Gordon and Brown were never married despite their comments.

"We are currently investigating the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina," Bobby Brown's laywer, Christopher Brown, told ABC News. "To correct earlier reports, Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon."

Prior to Christopher's statements, Bobbi Kristina and Gordon were very vocal about their supposed marriage.

Bobbi Kristina publicly referred to Gordon as her husband and often posted photos of what appeared to be her wedding ring on Instagram.

But despite the love that Gordon and Bobbi Kristina have said they share, the Houston family has banned Gordon from seeing Bobbi Kristina in the hospital, Us Weekly reports.

A source from Us Weekly claims that the Houston family has never fully trusted Nick and does not want him near her.
