On Monday, Feb. 9, Chris Brown took to Instagram to deny rumors he was involved in a violent altercation at rapper, Meek Mill's Grammys after-party, Karen Civil reports.

Brown slammed the media for its rumor reports and always making him the "topic of discussion for bullsh*t." Brown went on to explain that given his prior situations with breaking the law, he now conducts himself in an appropriate manner when he goes out.

And while he insists that he had no involvement in an altercation at the after party, Brown did reveal that there was a fight between two other people at Meek Mill's party, and he was simply an onlooker to what was going on.

"Me and my team left so we wouldn't have anything to do with it so the police wouldn't f*ck with me," he said.

MediaTakeOut originally reported that a group of gang members allegedly approached Brown and pointed a gun at him at the after party for allegedly owing a gang leader some money.

MTO added that when Brown and his entourage tried to escape, Brown allegedly got punched in the head several times and was almost murdered.

"The gang was EXTORTING CHRIS for years -- and he decided to stop paying . . . so they've been trying to COME AFTER HIM ever since," said MTO.

But now a source from media outlet, the Shade Room claims to have attended Mill's after party and supports Brown's story that he did not get into an altercation.

"Girls started fighting in the bathroom line. Then a fight broke out near the DJ and that's when everyone tried to rush out of the house at the same time," said the Shade Room source. " I know that DJ Mustard and Chris Brown were not involved in this fight. I know because I was walking next to DJ Mustard when the fight broke out, and I saw Chris Brown dip out."
