After kissing Abigail, Mateo starts thinking about his childhood friend in a different way, but he is led to believe that Abigail is in a relationship with someone else. Either way, Mateo is dating Diana, and Abigail has figured out that Diana is seeing Mateo's uncle. (Catch up on episodes 11-15 here.)

Here's what happened on episodes 16-20 on "Que te Perdone Dios."

Episode 16:

Abigail is sad, and she reveals it's because she saw Mateo kiss Diana. Meanwhile, Diana apologizes to Mateo for feeling jealous. She says it's crazy for her to have thought he could have had feelings for Diana, and she goes back to talking about their wedding.

Renata and Fausto are arguing, and he doesn't want Abigail to eat dinner with them. He thinks she should eat with other employees. Fausto admits he never loved Renata, and Fausto confronts Diana, who he said has been sleeping with both him and his nephew for more than a year.

Diana tells Fausto that she has never had sex with Mateo, but Fausto calls her names and she is left feeling humiliated. To get back at him, Diana tells Fausto that she is going to marry Mateo because he's the one she truly loves.

Fausto tells Lucio that Macaria has the gun he used to kill Pablo. Lucio says he will retrieve the gun for Fausto.

Fausto forcefully grabs Abigail, and she reminds him that Diana does not love him. She tells him to respect Renata. At night, Fausto visits Renata's room, and he watches her sleep. When Renata wakes up, she's frightened by Fausto. He asks her to help her break up Mateo and Diana.

Episode 17:

Renata realizes that she has never been able to get over Pablo. Abigail, Mateo and Helena go to dinner, and Helena realizes that Abigail and Mateo are very close. Mateo introduces his mom to Diana, and Fausto wants her dead.

Fausto tells Mateo he is forbidden from marrying Diana. Fausto can't believe what his uncle is telling him, and Fausto tries to persuade him by saying that Mateo promised he would go to Canada and continue his studies.

Episode 18:

Fausto tries to smother Diana, but Diego's arrival ruins his plans. Patricio realizes he is in love with Renata. Mateo can't stop thinking about the kiss he and Abigail shared, but his mom reminds him that he is an engaged man.

Helena confesses to the priest that Mateo is Fausto's son. And Fausto thought about running away with Diana after she asked him, but he ultimately says he can't.

Abigail tells Mateo's mom that Diana is not good for him.

Episode 19:

Fausto wants to get Renata pregnant, and Patricio tries to encourage to get back into dating. Macaria maliciously tells Abigail she believes that something strange is going on between Patricio and Renata.

Patricio falls off his horse, and Renata can't help him. Mateo sees Diego and Abigail kissing.

Episode 20:

Diana has decided that she and Mateo are to marry within a month, and though Abigail knows she is not faithful to Mateo, she does not want to interfere. Abigail believes Mateo needs to find out the truth on his own.

Patricio tells Renata he loves her, and he kisses her.

When Fausto walks into Renata's room and sees Abigail there, he is upset. Renata has asked Abigail to keep her company because she is unable to sleep, but Fausto later tells her that regardless of what she does, Renata will have his child eventually.
