Khloe Kardashian & Lamar Odom Divorce News Update 2015: 'Keeping up with the Kardashians' Star Reportedly Struggling to Track Down Athlete to Finalize Divorce
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom split up more than a year ago, but the couple still remains married. Does that mean they are getting back together?
Definitely not! Kardashian said she has not heard from Lamar and seems to have given up on trying to find him, TMZ reports.
Kardashian has tried to track down her former husband to finalize divorce papers but has been unsuccessful. Odom has not returned phone calls from Khloe or her lawyer.
Odom was not the model citizen, allegedly falling into a drug addiction, running around with multiple women and ruining his chances to play professional basketball, Hollywood Gossip reports. Kardashian filed for divorce back in December 2013, but the couple remains legally married until the divorce can be finalized.
If Kardashian waits too long on getting the divorce finalized, it could be thrown out by a judge.
Kardashian and Odom had a prenup attached to their marriage, so any splitting of assets will not be a problem -- the couple kept all their property separate.
Kardashian wants her last name back and does not want to be an Odom anymore.
Rumors that the couple is trying to reunite are bogus, according to Kardashian sources. They added that if Kardashian could find Odom, she would finalize the divorce papers with him quickly.
But Odom has gone missing or at least he seems like he is in hiding somewhere.
Kardashian could, in fact, proceed with the divorce without Odom, but she has failed to do so.
"Khloe was told by her attorney that she could file a motion to have the divorce granted, even though Lamar hasn't formally responded," an insider familiar with the case told Hollywood Gossip. "However, Khloe has held off taking that important step."
If Kardashian fails to act, she might have to file all over again, or even stay Mrs. Odom for even longer.
