Kentucky is struggling through a recent winter storm that first brought more than a foot of snow and now is bringing bitter cold temperatures. Police in the small town of Harlan, Kenucky have decided to blame "Frozen" character Elsa for the weather and are placing a warrant for her arrest.

Elsa has the magical powers to create snow and ice, and police in Harlan are blaming her for their woes, WCHS of Charleston and Huntington, West Virginia reports.

On the Harlan Police Department Facebook page, police posted a warning.

"All points bulletin!!! HPD has issued an arrest warrant for Queen Elsa of Arendelle. Suspect is a blonde female last seen wearing a long blue dress and is known to burst into song 'Let it Go!' As you can see by the weather she is very dangerous. Do not attempt to apprehend her alone," the post said.

Temperatures across Kentucky are expected to remain near zero for the next several days, and Harlan Police are warning residents to be safe.

"All kidding aside, the weather has been very dangerous and temps will get worse. Everyone please take precautions to stay safe and warm. Stay off the roads unless it is an emergency. Watch out and help others who may need help. HPD is doing a great job during this time but it takes everyone working together," Harlan Police continued.

When media outlets saw the warrant for Elsa's arrest on the Harlan Police Department Facebook page, they ran stories, and the arrest became a trending topic on social media sites.

Harlan Police responded to their 15 minutes of Internet fame:

"Wow. We were just having a little fun and didn't expect this! It has been fun and we had to have a little fun after this week's weather. But as a reminder, do take the precautions you need to keep you, your friends, family, neighbors and pets safe during the snow queen's mad spell," the department said.
