Angelique Boyer Wants to Be Anastasia Steele in a Latino Version of 'Fifty Shades of Grey' With Boyfriend Sebastián Rulli
Angelique Boyer admitted she's a fan of E.L. James' "Fifty Shades of Grey." What's more, the French-Mexican actress would love to be a part of a Latino version of the movie.
Not only does she wish she could portray Anastasia Steele in Mexican cinema, but she would also like to star alongside boyfriend Sebastián Rulli.
"Obviously, I loved the character of Anastasia because all women can see themselves in her; she's a very emblematic character and of course, as an actress, I would love to portray iconic characters," she said in an interview with Reforma, according to TV Notas.
Unfortunately for fans of the telenovela couple, Boyer does not believe she would ever get the opportunity to take on the challenge. As a telenovela actress, film roles do not come her way.
"I would love to, but unfortunately, there's a rule that if you work on television the people will not go see you at the movies," she said.
Rulli and Boyer have found success by playing couples on telenovelas and on the stage. The power couple may be able to disprove that rule and jump from TV to cinema.
The two are currently on a tour of Mexico with "Los Hombres Son de Marte, Las Mujeres Son de Venus."
Boyer was touched by people's support at a recent show.
"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the time you have dedicated to us!" she said in a tweet on Feb. 20. "Always and even more today with the #LHSDMLMDV finale, to all parts of the world."
Rulli was also feeling thankful for his fans.
"You are the most Rullinaticas of my life and my heart!!" he said on Twitter. "Thank you for so much happiness and gestures. We love you @Anboy88 and me."
