This weekend Hollywood goes back into full swing releasing two major releases, three Latino films and a number of Indie films from major film festivals.

Latin Post.com breaks down the hottest films to watch this weekend:

"Focus"

The biggest release of the weekend comes from Warner Bros., which is releasing the new thriller starring Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Rodrigo Santoro and Adrian Martinez. The film tells the story of Nicky, a veteran con man, whose plans are thrown for a loop when a woman from his past returns to his life. The movie currently has mixed reviews, but Smith should drive audiences to theaters. Box office experts expect the film to open near $23 million, which is a solid opening for a February release date.

 "The Lazarus Effect"

Also in release is Relativity's latest thriller about a group of medical students who discover a way to bring dead patients back to life. The film stars Mark Duplass, Olivia Wilde and Evan Peters and has received a moderate marketing campaign. There are currently no reviews and based on the 2,500 theaters the film is opening in pundits expect it to open with 9 million. That would be a solid in take for a low budget horror film.

"'71"

In art house theaters, Roadside Attractions will release the Jack O'Connell starrer that made its World Premiere at the Berlin Film Festival. The movie tells the story of a young and disoriented British soldier who is accidentally abandoned by his unit following a riot on the deadly streets of Belfast in 1971. The movie is directed by Yann Demange and received rave reviews. Earlier this year, the movie was nominated for the BAFTA award for Best British Film and it also scored a win at the British Independent Film Awards for Best Director. Roadside Attractions hopes to gain traction for the spring season and hopes to make it an Indie breakout.

"Everly"

After a few weeks on VOD platforms, Radius-TWC will release the Salma Hayek action thriller. The movie centers on a woman who faces down assassins sent by her ex, a mob boss, while holed up in her apartment. The Hayek starrer has received mixed reviews, with critics complaining about the plot. However, they have praised Hayek's performance in the movie. The film is receiving a small push and will likely be a bigger hit on VOD.

"Maps to the Stars"

David Cronenberg's latest film will be released by Focus World. The feature tours into the heart of a Hollywood family chasing celebrity, one another and the relentless ghosts of their pasts. The film stars Julainne Moore, who was nominated for a Golden Globe and also won the Cannes Film Festival award for Best Actress as well as Robert Pattinson, Mia Wasikowska, and John Cusack. Reviews have been solid for the film and many call it Cronenberg's return to form. Focus World is releasing the thriller on demand and in 50 theaters.

"A La Mala"

The latest feature from Pantelion tells the story of aspiring actress Maria Laura. When her best friend begs her to flirt with her boyfriend to test his fidelity, Maria finds a lucrative new career. After being hired by women across the city, Maria is given a gig that should be business as usual until she ends up falling head over heels for her latest mark. The film stars renowned Mexican stars Mauricio Ochmann and Aislinn Derbez and it has become popular in Mexico. There are currently no reviews, but with Lionsgate opening it in 250 theaters, it will likely be a minor hit for the company.

This weekend will also see the released of Strand's "Futuro Beach" which premiered at the Berlin Film festival as well as IFC Film's western "The Salvation." The company will also release Lawrence Michael Levine's "Wild Canaries" while Cohen Media Group will unveil "Deli Man."
