The sudden death of the popular dog in Family Guy, Brian Griffin, became viral news in an instant. The creators of the show thought that a death among one of the main characters can render a good twist to the entire show, and Brian was the most likely to be taken out since it is more realistic for a dog to get hit by a car instead of settling for one of the kids to die.

Family Guy's Brian was known to be a funny character in the animated television series. The dog is considered to be an alcoholic, a womanizer, writer and overall, a humorous "jerk", Time Entertainment reports.

Pop Watch interestingly wrote that if there is one character whom Brian was considered closest to, that would be Stewie, the youngest Griffin family member. From now on, fans would surely miss the dynamic that the two characters share on air.
