While appearing on "LIVE! with Kelly and Michael," Jada Pinkett Smith revealed that she most likely won't be returning to the hit FOX series "Gotham" for another season, ABC News reports.

Pinkett, who plays "Fish" Mooney on the show, explained that her contract was not renewed for another season.

"I don't think so, no. I signed for a year and the year is up," Pinkett said. "But there are some great things coming ahead on 'Gotham,' believe you me. There's a lot of good stuff coming."

In a separate interview with Extra, Pinkett assured fans that her "Gotham" character will have an explosive exit on the show's finale episode.

"We're done. I did my year and I had a good time. The show is going to have an awesome finale! You never know what Fish might have up her sleeve," Pinkett said.

She added, "I've always been a comic book fan so it was definitely a dream to be able to participate in an origin story of Batman with an original character. Who would of thought in a million years that I would have the opportunity to do that?"

Prior to announcing her exit, Pinkett told Net-A-Porter that playing her villainous character in "Gotham" was challenging, but fun.

"Playing a villain is really about diving into your own personal shadows. I wouldn't say it's easy, but it's definitely fun."

Pinkett explained that taking on the role was about challenging herself as a person and as an actress.

And while fans won't get to see Pinkett in the next season of "Gotham," they can see her in the upcoming film "Magic Mike XXL" set to hit theaters on July 1, CinemaBlend reports.

While promoting "Magic Mike XXL" on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," Pinkett teased that she found it hard to concentrate while filming with all of the attractive men on set.

"My top hear was like 'Jada there is not a Will Smith on this set. You can't procreate with nobody," she quipped.
