"Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara and her fiancé Joe Manganiello may choose to elope, says "Modern Family" co-star, Julie Bowen, when she appeared on the Feb. 25 "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

"They're either going to run away and elope or it's going to be 1,000 people," Bowen said. "I like to tell them I'm going to wear peach, because she's asked me to be her bridesmaid. I'm going to wear a peach kind of Princess Di, puffy-sleeved thing."

Bowen said that last part was a joke – Vergara would never allow her to wear such a dress to her wedding. She also admitted she doesn't really know how Vergara, 42, and Manganiello, 38, will tie the knot.

Vergara and the former "True Blood" actor postponed their summer wedding so she can promote "Hot Pursuit" with Reese Witherspoon, which will hit theaters in May, and he can promote "Magic Mike XXL," which will arrive in theaters July 1.

While Bowen may suspect the couple will elope, the Boston Herald reports that Vergara and Manganiello toured the Mediterranean styled Breakers resort in Palm Beach, Florida on Feb. 25 as a possible location for the wedding. A witness said Vergara looked at a wedding cake photo that "was six tiers and elaborate."

"They want to get married there," another insider said.

It would come as no surprise the Colombian-born actress would pick South Florida as a wedding location since she lived in Miami for seven years before moving to Los Angeles. She visits Palm Beach County frequently and has family in Miami.

Although there is no official word yet on the wedding location or date, Vergara said a fall wedding is likely.

"We're trying right now to figure it out," Vergara said. "He's shooting and promoting Magic Mike and I'm promoting my movie with Reese Witherspoon, so we're kind of busy so we're trying to do it maybe [this] fall. This summer is too busy."

When it happens, it is "going to be big," according to the actress. "We started off with 20 [on the guest list], and now there's like pages and pages," she said.

The couple, who first met at the White House Correspondents' dinner, started dating in June 2014 following Vergara's May split from Nick Loeb. Manganiello proposed to her during a Hawaiian vacation over Christmas.
