Rihanna Hot New 'R8' Album Release 2015: 'FourFiveSeconds' Singer's Upcoming LP to Feature Prince?
Rihanna is reportedly teaming up with Prince in the studio for her anxiously awaited eighth studio album, "R8."
"Prince is among the most respected songwriters of all time but chooses his collaborators carefully," an industry insider recently revealed to Boston Herald's The Edge. "Rihanna is so chuffed he wants to work with her and is considering rushing a performance of the track into the Brits. She really wants the song to be a single."
In addition to the pop icon's contribution, the Barbadian star's upcoming record is expected to feature Calvin Harris, who previously worked on hits "We Found Love" and "Where Have You Been."
The worldwide EDM star's "Blame" collaborator John Newman told Billboard back in January: "We started to look at tracks to put together for Rihanna... And hopefully, I'll have more of a presence in America."
Moreover, RiRi's latest project will be produced by none other than her "FourFiveSeconds" partner, Kanye West.
At this year's Grammy Awards, the Chicago emcee announced that he will be contributing to the forthcoming LP.
"I'm executive producing Rihanna's album," he told E!'s Ryan Seacrest. "I played her my album, and I said I got a few songs with Paul McCartney. She couldn't get past the record. She had to have it on her album."
"So now we're at the Grammys doing it," he added.
So far, the "Pour It Up" singer reportedly registered a track titled "All Night" featuring Florence + The Machine for the follow-up to 2012's "Unapologetic."
According to a snapshot of the registered track (via Pop Justice), the song information database credits the British indie rock band's lead vocalist Florence Welch and producer Paul Epworth, as well as Rihanna herself (Robyn Fenty) and Christian Keyon Jr. Boggs.
It is also speculated that the song has possibly sampled "Only If For A Night" off Florence + The Machine's 2012 hit album "Ceremonials."
