Anthony Pettis and Rafael Dos Anjos will collide in a highly anticipated showdown in the main event of UFC 185 on Saturday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Pettis, who will defend his Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight title, is favored to win against his challenger on Saturday night, but the 28-year-old said that he will not take any chances.

Pettis, who is coming off a second-round submission victory against Gilbert Melendez in December, told reporters on Friday that he is excited to face Dos Anjos, who he said will be his toughest opponent to date.

"I definitely think this is going to be my toughest fight," said Pettis, who holds an impressive 18-2 record. "He doesn't quit; he just keeps coming forward. If I rock him or hurt him, he's still gonna try to finish this fight."

On the other hand, Dos Anjos, who parades a 23-7 record, vowed to go all out against Pettis. The 30-year-old said that he will not take the risk of taking a loss via a bad decision and will go for the kill to score a knockout or stoppage victory at UFC 185.

"I'm not going to take any risks," Dos Anjos said. "I'm not going to take any crazy risks. I'm going to go hard to finish, not to fight five rounds."

However, Pettis sounded like he is prepared for what Dos Anjos will bring to the table on Saturday night. Pettis said he knows his opponent will look to score a knockout because Dos Anjos is aware he cannot sustain his intensity for five rounds inside the Octagon.

"I think he slows down in the later rounds," Pettis said of his opponent. "He's not the same after round one. I have to bring it hard, weather the storm, and then plead my case for why I'm better than him."

Dos Anjos earned a shot against Pettis after scoring a unanimous decision win against Nate Diaz during their three-round non-title fight in December. Before defeating Diaz, he scored knockout wins against Jason High and Benson Henderson in June and August last year, respectively.

The UFC 185 fight card will kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET for three early prelim. fights that will be shown live on UFC Fight Pass. Four more preliminary fights will air on FX starting 8 p.m. ET. The main card is scheduled to start at 10 p.m. ET. Fans can catch the action on the main card on pay-per-view via UFC TV and other providers listed on this link.
