"Modern Family" actress Sofia Vergara recently spoke to Extra and slammed rumors claiming that she and her fiance Joe Manganiello have postponed their wedding.

"I don't know, how can something be postponed when it has never been set? It's really funny," Vergara said to Extra, adding, "It's always a lot of fun for girls to plan the wedding."

The Daily Mail is among the various media outlets claiming that Vergara and Manganiello put their wedding on hold.

Vergara allegedly told the Daily Mail at the Vanity Fair Oscar bash that Manganiello's busy working schedule is the reason why the couple has decided to postpone their wedding.

"We wanted to get married this summer, but Joe is going to be busy working," Vergara said. "Hopefully we will do it later this year, we want to do it when we can make time for a honeymoon."

Vergara began dating Manganiello in June following her May split from Nick Loeb.

Vergara and Manganiello first met at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Manganiello proposed to Vergara in December while the couple traveled on a Hawaiian getaway trip to celebrate the holidays and Manganiello's 38th birthday.

At the time, People reported that Manganiello was "genuinely nervous" about proposing to Vergara and opted to pop the question in the couple's palatial suite in order to avoid the paparazzi and additional prying eyes.

Following the proposal, Vergara spoke to Access Hollywood about the engagement and gushed over her ring.

"You know with me it's all about the bling bling so he knew what I needed," she told Access Hollywood while showing off her massive ring. "I opened it up and I checked it to see and then I was like, 'Yes!'"

And though Vergara is undeniably pleased with her engagement bling, she insists that even if Manganiello missed the mark on the ring, she would still have agreed to marry him.

She added, "He's so handsome that it I would have said 'okay' anyway."
