The villain to the upcoming "Ant-Man" film has been revealed after a number of teasers.

According to Badass Digest, the villain in the film is the Yellowjacket. Corey Stoll, better known for his breakout turn in "Midnight in Paris," will play the film's antagonist Daniel Cross.

Cross' character is a former protégé of Hank Pym, the former Ant-Man. In the film, Cross will take over Pym's company and will acquire Pym's technology to create the Yellowjacket suit.

From this synopsis, the film will not be too faithful to the comic books. In the comics, the Yellowjacket was the first code name Hank Pym took before using the "Ant-Man" moniker, and the Yellowjacket was also a woman. Rita DeMara was the character's name, and she joined supervillain groups Masters of Evil and Femizons as the Yellowjacket. Iron Man kills the villain in the comic books, and she is later resurrected in "Chaos Wars."

The Yellowjacket has been seen in video games and TV shows but every single time the character is used by Hank Pym.

According to IMDB, the film tells the story of a con-man, Scott Lang, who "must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym ... plan and pull off a heist that will save the world." In the film, Lang is "armed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength."

Paul Rudd is set to play Lang and the Ant-Man, and Michael Douglas will play Hank Pym. Hayley Atwell will reprise Peggy Carter, who appeared in "Captain America: The First Avenger," and Evangeline Lilly will play Hope Van Dyne. Judy Greer will also star in the film as Maggie, and Bobby Cannavale will play Paxton.

Meanwhile, Michael Pena will portray Luis, and John Slattery will make an appearance as Howard Stark, replacing Dominic Cooper, who played the role in "Captain America: The First Avenger."

Peyton Reed, better known for his work on "Yes Man" and "The Break-Up," directed the film. Adam McKay ("Step Brothers," "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues") wrote the script. Disney is set to release the film on July 17, 2015, in 3D.
