Disney ‘Frozen 2' Movie Sequel, Cast & Release Date Rumors: Olaf Actor Josh Gad Has 'Complete Faith' in Creative Team for Frozen Sequel
Josh Gad says he's excited that there will definitely be a sequel to Disney's successful animated movie "Frozen," E! News reports.
Gad plays the funny snowman Olaf in the film.
"I'm just excited that they announced it," Gad said. "I have complete faith in the creative team and I'm excited to hear that it's happening at this point."
Disney announced that they are developing a sequel to "Frozen" with Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee but there are no further details about production and release dates.
Gad will also play LeFou in the live-action remake of "Beauty and the Beast," and he is in "The Comedians" with Billy Crystal, which premieres on FX April 9. Gad and Crystal play versions of themselves on the new sketch comedy show.
Crystal said to have "the opportunity to work with somebody who I literally grew up and at the age of five knowing and watching and studying is a dream come true."
Disney's 2013 "Frozen" was a major success, earning over $1.3 million around the globe, Christian Today reports.
Toys made to replicate the characters in the movie were the hottest this holiday season, beating the famous Barbie in sells.
"Frozen" also won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
To the fans excitement, Disney announced on March 12 that there will officially be a sequel to the smash-hit.
"We enjoyed making 'Frozen Fever' so much and being back in that world with those characters" that "Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel," Walt Disney chief executive Bob Iger said about "Frozen 2."
"You will be hearing a lot more about it and we're taking you back to Arendelle," he added. "We are so excited about that."
Get ready to see Anna and Elsa on the big screen when the sequel of "Frozen" hits theaters.
