Rolling Stone recently interviewed M.I.A. to discuss the 10th anniversary of her debut album, "Arular," but the interview took a different direction when M.I.A. slammed Oprah Winfrey and her ex-boyfriend, Diplo, E! News reports.

M.I.A., whose birth name is Mathangi Arulpragasam, has been very vocal about the oppression of her native Sri Lankan Tamil people. She recalled the time when she attempted to discuss the Tamil oppression with Oprah but was turned away and shunned by the media mogul.

While attending Times "Most Influential People of the 21st Century" party in 2009, M.I.A. recalls Winfrey calling her a terrorist and refusing to discuss the abuse occurring in Tamil.

"Yeah, she didn't talk to me. She shut me down," M.I.A. said of Winfrey.

"She took that photo of me, but she was just like, 'I can't talk to you because you're crazy and you're a terrorist.' And I'm like, 'I'm not. I'm a Tamil, and there are people dying in my country, and you have to like look at it because you're f*cking Oprah and every American told me you're going to save the world."

In addition to slamming Winfrey, M.I.A. also slammed her ex-boyfriend Diplo for allegedly calling her a sellout and not supporting her success as an artist.

M.I.A. accused Diplo of being jealous of her fame and constantly jeopardizing her success. So in attempt to appease him, M.I.A. let him Diplo "dictate" the outcome of her career, she revealed.

"So the whole two years I was with him, I just let him dictate," M.I.A. said. "I basically had this man dictate to me how everything in America that I experienced was completely, like, irrelevant and it was nothing."

But despite dissing her former boyfriend, Rolling Stone suggests that the former couple has since made up.

Diplo recently posted an Instagram photo of himself hanging out with M.I.A. and captioned the photo, "Best Friend Forever."
