Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper attended the premiere of their new film, "Serena," on Saturday together.

While appearing on the red carpet together, Lawrence and Cooper discussed the secret to their longstanding friendship and on-screen chemistry, Vanity Fair reports.

When asked how the two actors, who have starred in several films together, remain close, Lawrence quipped, "No Sex!"

Lawrence then revealed that she was the one who asked Cooper to star with her in "Serena" because she is a big fan of his acting skill and ability.

"I forced him to come onto ['Serena']. I mean, any male role is going to make me think of Bradley because in my opinion, he's the best, and I love working with him," Lawrence said.

Cooper also dished on his new role in "Serena" and gushed over his co-star.

"Honestly, it's just happenstance," Cooper said of working so often with Lawrence. "We both got cast in 'Silver Linings,' and she was going to this other movie and the role was open and so that worked out."

He added, "I respect [Jennifer] so much as a professional, as an actor, and I think she's the best there is. I just learn from her. You always want to work with people who are better than you."

In a separate interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lawrence and Cooper described their sex scenes in "Serena" as awkward because they are both such good friends.

"I guess it's more comfortable than not knowing the other person? I don't know," Lawrence explained. "They're just awkward."

"You never know how it's going to be," Cooper chimed in. "But for us, we laughed most of the time."

And though Lawrence and Cooper insist that they are platonic friends, Us Weekly suggests that there might be future romance for the frequent co-stars now that they are both single.

According to Us Weekly, Cooper recently split from his girlfriend of two years, Suki Waterhouse. Lawrence is currently off-again with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
