Music mogul Jay Z has allegedly chosen to settle his paternity lawsuit outside of court, RadarOnline reports.

Last month, news surfaced that Jay Z secretly fathered a son named Rymir Satterthwaite 21 years ago.

Satterthwaite and his family filed a lawsuit against Jay Z, but now it seems the rapper is attempting to settle the cause without having to appear in court.

"Ultimately the case will probably be settled out of court," said Lillie Collie, Satterthwaite's legal guardian. "We've been going through this since 2011, and it has gotten to the point where the family just wants it to be over."

Satterthwaite is currently 21 years old and is aspiring to become a famous rapper like his alleged father, Jay Z.

In a video clip released on YouTube, Satterthwaite says how his desire to rap stems from his bloodline.

"It was in my blood," he says. "I really wanted to pursue my dreams. That's what I've been doing, pursuing my dreams."

In addition to filing a lawsuit, Satterthwaite and his family have created a Fundly page to raise $75,000 for his legal expenses for the paternity suit, wisdom teeth surgery and college tuition. So far, he has raised $285.

"Legal Fees are needed helps with cases that has happen over last three years of paternity journey we trying to reverse some things that should have not taken place," reads Satterthwaite's Fundly page.

"I need advance dental work of oral surgery for all impacted wisdom teeth. The cases over last three years caused us to get into a financial bind. I want to go to major university that cost a lot. The court cases caused us to have domino effect in finances so we need more funds to add to our portion of tuition and Rymir's mother is partially disable."

So far, Jay Z has yet to publicly comment on the lawsuit.
