Hip hop icon Snoop Dog, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., joined World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) legend Hulk Hogan to confront superstar wrestler Curtis Axel on "Monday Night Raw," and it was intense.

Axel had been taunting the Doggfather for weeks on Twitter as part of his new movement #AxelMania. The movement is to boost his presence at the upcoming WrestleMania 31.

Snoop had welcomed Axel to the "dogg pound" on Twitter, promising to unleash #SnoopMania on the overconfident wrestler.

The Twitter war intensified with Axel tweeting on March 18, "Take ur #SnoopMania outta here cause there's a new top Dogg in town! Doin what for years? This ain't '93! #AxelMania @SnoopDogg."

On Monday night, Axel showed up at the Raw ready to settle the score. He tweeted to Snoop, "Bow wow wow yippy yo yippy yea Ax Man in the houuuuuse! @SnoopDogg @WWE #WWELosAngeles #AxelMania" and quickly made his way to the ring where Snoop stood waiting.

What Axel didn't anticipate was the original Mania Boss Hulk Hogan showing up with Snoop.

"SnoopMania? No, it is called AxelMania. And it's not a West coast thing. It's not an East coast thing. It's a worldwide thing. And I'm not gonna sit back and listen to you talk about SnoopMania when AxelMania is running wild in Los Angeles!" Axel said as he entered the ring.

Axel danced, mocking Snoop. "Bow wow wow yippy yo yippy yea," he said.

Snoop was unamused. "So you that clown that's been poppin' off on Twitter? I been waiting on you to show up. And let me let you know, I'm ready," he said.

The rapper told Axel he was missing the most important mania of them all. "This one!" Snoop said, pointing to Hulk Hogan, who made his way through the cheering crowd to the wrestling ring.

"Let me tell you a little story, brother, about the WrestleMania, Jack, when I press slammed Andre the Giant in front of 90,000 people," said Hogan once in the ring. "I knew at that moment Hulkamania would last forever through all these Hulkamaniacs."

Hogan added, "As far as AxelMania, you know Snoop, better than anybody, what's this brother smoking over here?!"

Snoop and Hogan shared a laugh at Axel's expense. Axel tore off his shirt.

"What are you gonna do?!" Axel screamed at Hogan before lunging at him.

Hogan threw Axel down to the mat.

Snoop grabbed Axel by the arm when he stood up and tossed him out of the ring before ripping off his shirt to reveal a Hulkmania t-shirt beneath.

The WWE fans went wild.

When asked by WWE during a post-show interview why he participated in Raw, the rapper said, "I am a big kid right now, having the time of my life with my favorite wrestler -- The Hulkster. I came to reinforce the importance of the mania, the creator of the mania -- established in 1984, ya dig?"

Hogan revealed that he could feel the power of SnoopMania that night. "When I got out there and I felt the power of Snoopamania, I felt like I was 18 years old again. I felt like I had a full head of hair and 30 years back -- I felt like I was still the champ. I mean, SnoopMania is definitely running wild on Monday Night Raw," he said.

The interview closed with Snoop promising WWE that he'll be back. "You will see me again. I am a big fan. I am in the family. Anytime the Hulk needs me, he knows he can call me. I'm right there for him," he said.
