Puerto Rico and Canada will face off in an international friendly on Monday.

Canada is coming off its first victory of 2015 after taking down Guatemala 1-0 in a friendly. The team is looking to prep for the Gold Cup this summer after enduring numerous years of failures on the international stage.

Marcus Haber was the hero in the Guatemala game and he is expecting the team to build on that game in the upcoming one against Puerto Rico.

"We're getting up to the real thing with the Gold Cup and World Cup qualifiers so it's important we get some results and everyone's happy for sure," Haber stated, according to MLS Soccer. "This gives us confidence. We feel good as a team and we've got good depth and players that can contribute all over the park and the players that came off the bench [against Guatemala] gave us a lift."

The victory over Guatemala was just Canada's second win in 22 matches; the only other victory in that stretch was a win over Jamaica by the score of 3-1.

Since defeating Cuba 3-0 on Dec. 10, 2012, the team has a record of two wins, 13 defeats and seven draws. The worst defeat in that run was undoubtedly the first one -- an 8-1 implosion against Honduras that eliminated Canada from the World Cup qualifiers altogether. There was also a 4-0 loss against Denmark right after that, but otherwise Canada has kept the margins of defeat rather tight.

This is just the third matchup between these two teams. On Sept. 6, 2011, Canada took down Puerto Rico 3-0 in an early stage of the World Cup qualifiers. In the rematch on Oct. 11, 2011, Puerto Rico managed to stifle the Canadians in a 0-0 draw.

Prediction: Canada wins 3-0 to continue its momentum from the Guatemala win.
