It's only four days until the first season of “Outlander” resumes on Starz. Fans were left anxiously waiting for months after the first eight episodes of the show aired last fall. As the date approaches, here are some things you can expect from “Outlander.”

Set to return to Starz on Saturday, April 4, at 9 p.m., “Outlander” can be considered one of the most underrated shows out there, featuring an empowered female lead surrounded by men in a male-dominated society. However, when fans left Claire Beauchamp Randall (Caitriona Balfe) last she was in the hands of the vicious Capt. Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies), about to be violated.

To whet the insatiable thirst of fans for knowledge, as well as showing a little bit more of Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), the “Outlander” Facebook page released a sneak peek Monday into the first couple of minutes of the Saturday’s episode.

Episode 9 will be titled “The Reckoning” and will continue where we left off. However, as you can watch below, the video opens up with Jamie’s point of view. It’s the minutes before Jamie appears at the window and stops Randall from raping Claire.

Jamie and the rest of the Mackenzie clan sneaked into Fort William and, hopefully, save Claire.

Behold, a verra special surprise for our devoted Outlanders! Watch this exclusive sneak peek of Outlander's mid-season premiere.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the rest of the season will follow the development of the relationship between Claire and Jaime. It perhaps will also explore how Claire wrestles with the fact that she is married to someone back in her time period; yet, she continues to fall in love with Jamie.

“If you’ve loved to watch the progression of Jamie and Claire’s relationship, you’re just really going to love seeing the fruition of that,” Balfe says in a short video on Entertainment Weekly showing what is coming for the couple, including a return to Castle Leoch.

However, there is not exactly immediate happiness in Episode 9. At least, that is what E! News hints at. Coming from the 20th century and as a woman, Claire has different perspectives on women than 18th century-raised Jamie and they will clash after her rescue.

Nonetheless, be excited as “Outlander” returns to Starz in less than a week.
