'Finding Bigfoot': Animal Planet Reality Stars Prepare to Hunt for Bigfoot in New Hamsphire
The Bigfoot hunters starring on Animal Planet's hit reality series "Finding Bigfoot" plan to track down the ape-like creature in New Hampshire next month.
The popular TV series recently announced that it will go on a hunt for "the mysterious Sasquatch" in northern New Hampshire, reports the Conway Daily Sun.
On the show, four researchers travel to different locations across the United States and interview people who claim to have seen Bigfoot. Then, the researchers set up reenactments of the sighting to try to prove the existence of the ape-like creature.
The team consists of Bigfoot Field Research Organization (BFRO) President Matt Moneymaker, researchers James "Bobo" Fay and Cliff Barackman, and scientist Ranae Holland, who is a skeptic.
Before going on an expedition to find the mythical create in The Granite State, the crew will hold a town meeting in Coos County on Wednesday, April 8, at 6 p.m. The exact location, however, has yet to be announced.
"You can help the crew with their investigation," states a "Finding Bigfoot" news release. "Have you had an encounter you can't explain? Sightings? Tracks? Strange noises? We want to hear about it!"
Believers can RSVP for the town hall meeting and share their stories about Sasquatch by emailing Findingbigfoot.newhampshire@gmail.com. The producers will also scout the emails and invite the people with the best stories to the town hall.
"We try to get as many people in as we can," said show producer Sean Mantooth.
Mantooth added that the "Finding Bigfoot" crew is just as optimistic about their New Hampshire adventure as they are about every excursion, despite the fact that they have yet to actually find the beast.
"We have high hopes every place we go," said Mantooth, adding, "There's a lot of woods" in New Hampshire.
"It's what we call a 'squatchy' area. We've got a few tricks up our sleeves (to get a Bigfoot sighting)."
