With a few months left until the release of "Spectre," Sony has already released a teaser trailer.

The new trailer is moody and once again shows a darker tone that the 007 franchise has taken on since Daniel Craig became James Bond. It is also evident that the new film will follow where "Skyfall" left off as Naomie Harris' character Moneypenny refers to the mission name from the last film and Craig's Bond starts to go through the documents.

The movie also returns to similar locations from the previous film and refers to a secret that Bond is hiding.

The new teaser also gives audiences a first look at the new villain Franz Oberhauser, who seems to know Bond. Played by Christoph Waltz, the character says, "Welcome James. It's been a long time and finally here we are."

Interestingly, Sony avoided showing any intense action sequences and decided to keep the trailer mysterious.

For audiences who were disappointed from the lack of action, producer Michael G. Wilson promises the film will have the biggest open sequence of any Bond film. Wilson told Empire: "The whole vision that Sam Mendes has come up with is very exciting and amazing. We've got 1500 extras in Day Of The Dead costumes and make up and we've occupied the center of Mexico City for days. The only thing that's come close to it was putting on the carnival in Rio in Moonraker, and I think this is a much bigger operation."

The Bond franchise is known for the opening action sequences which have been trademarks before the opening title sequence. According to Empire, the sequence will have a number of exploding buildings, a foot chase through the Day Of The Dead parade and a fight inside a helicopter.

With production still continuing, the film will start shooting in Morocco and later move on to London where production will film in Pinewood Studios. "Spectre" has already been filmed in London, Rome and various delightful ski resorts in Austria.

The new movie follows a cryptic message from Bond's past that sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization.

While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind Spectre.

"Spectre" is slated for release on Nov. 6.
