Olympic gold medal-winner Gabby Douglas has inked a deal with the Oxygen Network to star in a new reality show centered on her home and family life.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the 2012 London Games all-around winner will star in "Douglas Family Gold," which will also focus on the now 19-year's ongoing preparation for defending her title at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

"The bi-coastal Douglas family shuttles between California and Ohio to support Gabby's training regimen while also juggling their own lives," network officials said in a released statement.

The Times reports Douglas' brother, John, is also an Olympic hopeful in the area of track and field. Douglas' mom and manager, Natalie, and her two sisters, Arie and Joy, are also expected to appear in the series.

As a 16-year-old, diminutive Douglas shocked the world in 2012 when she won the championship in the all-around competition. In all, Douglas captured gold medals in both the individual all-around and the team competitions, propelling her into the history books as the first American gymnast to even win gold in both the individual and all-around games at the same competition.

She also previously earned gold as a member of the 2011 U.S. World Championship team. After a three-year hiatus, Douglas recently returned to the public eye by competing at the Jesolo Trophy Games in Italy, where she tied for Team USA's fourth best scores on the vault (15.300) and uneven bars (14.600).

Douglas was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia and began training for the Olympics when she was just three years old after her older sister convinced their mom to enroll her in gymnastics classes. Soon after that, she became a household name in the sport, winning the 2004 Virginia State title when she was just eight.

Douglas thus joins figure skater Johnny Weir in an becoming Olympian who has also gave the reality TV scene a shot. Weir previously starred in "Be Good Johnny Weir" in 2010.
