'The Voice' Performances & News: Wiz Khalifa to Perform 'Furious 7' Song, Sia Will Sing 'Hunger Games' Track [Watch]
Wiz Khalifa is coming back to "The Voice" to perform for the first time since 2012.
Wiz Khalifa will appear on the April 8 episode of the show to perform a song from new movie "Furious 7," according to Billboard.
Wiz Khalifa will perform the song "See You Again" from "Furious 7," along with former "The Voice" contestant Chris Jamison. Khalifa last appeared on "The Voice" in 2012 when he performed "Payphone" with Maroon 5.
The day before Wiz Khalifa appears on the show, Sia, who was an adviser to coach Christina Aguilera in 2011, will perform as well.
On April 7, Sia will perform the song "Elastic Heart" from 2013's "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" soundtrack. The song peaked at No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has sold 512,000 downloads. There have also been more than 213 million views of the music video for the song on YouTube.
Wiz Khalifa recorded "See You Again" with "Marvin Gaye" singer Charlie Puth. The song has peaked at No. 88 and has already sold 88,000 downloads. Wiz Khalifa performed the song on "The Tonight Show" in mid-March.
The soundtrack for "Furious 7" has been out for two weeks. It currently sits at No. 17 in the Billboard 200. The film opens Friday at theaters everywhere.
Currently, "The Voice" is in the playoff round. Wednesday's episode will allow viewers to see the top 12 contestants that will appear on Season 8 of the show. The current season of "The Voice" is averaging a 4.3 rating for adults ranging in ages of 18-49. 15.3 million viewers have tuned into the show in its first four weeks, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Wiz Khalifa has won a couple of awards since earning mainstream success in 2011. In 2011, he won a BET Award for the Best New Artist. In 2012, he won a Billboard Music Award for the Top New Artist.
