ABC News confirmed on Monday, April 6, that Bruce Jenner's interview with Diane Sawyer will air on April 24.

The interview, which is titled, "Bruce Jenner - The Interview," will be a two-hour special edition of ABC's "20/20."

The show is set to air on ABC at 9 p.m. EST.

Us Weekly reports that Jenner's interview will unveil his journey to becoming a woman. Jenner will allegedly talk to Sawyer about his transformation and what sparked his decision.

Us Weekly adds that Jenner will also address his transformation in an untitled E! spin-off show, which has already begun filming.

"The world will see his full transformation," says an Us Weekly source. "It's a docuseries featuring the Jenner family talking about Bruce 'coming out.'"

As Jenner prepares to share his story and transformation with the world, his family has been supporting him along the way, says Us Weekly.

Back in February, Jenner's stepdaughter, Kim Kardashian, praised her stepfather's decision in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, noting that the former athlete is "the happiest" he's ever been.

"I think everyone goes through things in life, and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he'll share whenever the time is right," Kardashian added. "I feel like that's his journey to talk about."

Jenner's mother, Esther, also praised him in an interview with The Associated Press.

Esther revealed that she is more proud of Bruce now than when he won his Olympic gold medal in 1976.

"It takes a lot of courage to do what he's doing," she explained, adding, "'He said, 'Mom, I'm still the same person.' He said, 'I'm still going to race cars, I'm still going to fly airplanes and I'm going to get my helicopter license.'"

People adds that by doing the interview with Diane Sawyer, Bruce Jenner hopes to bring more awareness to the transgender community and open the minds of people who still mock and ridicule the LGBTQ community.
