'Attack on Titan' News: Live-Action TV Show to Be Released at Same Time as August Movie [Watch]
The "Attack on Titan" manga is set to air in August as a live-action TV show, according to Anime News Network.
Hajime Isyama's popular manga will tell a new story in the live-action TV show which stars Satomi Ishihara.
Ishihara plays the role of Hanji in the two upcoming "Attack on Titan" live-action movies set to be released around the same time as the TV show.
Other stars in the movie who will reprise their roles in the TV show include Nanami Sakuraba as Sasha, Shu Watanabe as Fukushi, Rina Takeda as Lil and Ayame Misaki as Hiana.
A new character will be featured in the show played by Yuta Hiraoka. "Attack on Titan" live-action TV show will be streamed on dTV.
Isayama's original "Attack on Titan" manga has inspired four spinoff manga, a 25-episode TV anime version and two films. A second season of the anime TV show is set to air in 2016.
The animation version of the manga aired in Japan and was streamed by Funimation and Crunchyroll.
According to Kpop Starz, the new live-action TV show will feature Hanji as a main character. Her daily life will be depicted in the show along with the other soldiers who are at war with the Titans.
The official trailer for the "Attack on Titan" live-action movie has been release, Anime News Network reports.
"Attack on Titan" live-action films will be based on the world and characters of the manga while new characters and new formidable enemies will be added to the story. Isayama's manga is about the battles between humans and giants who now rule the world outside human's enclaves.
