'Castle' Season 7 Episode 22 Spoilers: 'Family Matters' Alum Jaleel White to Star as 'Larger Than-Life' Artist
Former "Family Matters" star Jaleel White has been cast to star in the Season 7, Episode 22 airing of "Castle."
According to TV Line, the man who became famous playing the role of Steve Urkel will star in the "Castle" episode as Mickey Franks, "the larger-than-life star of a 'Saturday Night Live'-like sketch series who has a tendency toward outrageous and possibly homicidal behavior."
Entitled "Dead From New York," the episode is expected to air in the weeks after the show returns airing Season 7 on April 20.
The 38-yer-old White has also recently starred in such series as "Hawaii Five-0," "CSI," "Drop Dead Diva" and "Psych." He also competed on a recent season of the long-running "Dancing With the Stars" show.
TV Line also reports former "CSI" star Wallace Langham is set to guest star in the show's season finale. The show's title has not been made public yet. And no details have been released about the plot line, including what character or role Langham may play in the episode.
The website adds some have speculated Langham could be cast as the "distinguished, highly intelligent" character teased in a previous episode. Langham, who starred as Hodge's on "CSI," has appeared on such shows as "Veronica's Closet" and "The Larry Sanders Show."
Previously, showrunner David Amann told TV Line that the episode starring White and the show's 150th overall will "focus on compelling, high-stakes story-telling surrounding Castle and Beckett mythology."
He added, "Obviously, the 150th episode is a milestone for the show, but it directly precedes the season finale. At this point, we intend Episode 22 to be a buoyant, classic episode of 'Castle,' while [the finale] will focus on compelling, high-stakes story-telling surrounding Castle and Beckett mythology."
Nathan Fillion stars as Rick Castle and Stana Katic as Det. Kate Beckett.
