"American Idol" contestant Quentin Alexander clashes with judges as he stated that it's "wack" to see his friend leave the show.

According to Billboard, judge Harry Connick Jr. took the comment from Quentin as an insult.

Connick told the contestant, "Quentin, if it's that wack, you can always go home. 'Idol' is paying a lot of money to give you this experience, and for you to say that to the hand that is feeding you right now ... is highly disrespectful."

Alexander told Ryan Seacrest that it is "wack" to see Rayvon Owen and Joey Cook as the bottom two in the last episode.

"This sucks," the Season 14 finalist told Seacrest after performing Lenny Kravitz's "Are You Gonna Go My Way."

Alexander said as he was overcome with emotion, "You got two of the best vocalists sitting over there -- my best friend is sitting over there. This whole thing is wack."

He then went up to the judges table to explain himself in response to Connick's remarks.

"For my personal feelings, it sucks to see two people who I have grown to love go home, so that is what I mean by it being wack," He explained. "So I am not disrespecting this competition."

Alexander's friend Cook still went home after the little incident, according to Entertainment Online.

Before his comments though, Connick Jr. had already stated that he felt Alexander's performance was unoriginal.

Jennifer Lopez seemed to take her fellow judge's side, stating that Alexander has to control his emotions because it's part of being a performer.

According to Yahoo! Music, J. Lo pointed out Alexander's emotional reaction after he performed "The Sound of Silence," rather than solely focusing on his performance.

"You displayed something earlier that kind of threw everybody. It was against what I know of you. ... You always have to know how to control [your emotions]," the Pop star said.

Will this incident affect Quentin Alexander's chances of staying on the show next week?
